I just bought a new computer and authorized it according to instructions, however the new unit does not show up on the authorized devices list and my iPad won't attach. Any thoughts?

I just bought a new computer and authorized it according to instructions. However, it does not show up on the authorized devices list and my iPad won't connect through it.   The iPad and the original computer are still listed as the only authorized devices.  Any ideas on how to fix this?  Thanks.

To sync my mom's iPad, iTunes is saying I need to uninstall and reinstall the 64-bit version, but that is the version I already installed. Thoughts?

I am trying to upgrade the iOS on her 1st generation iPad, but I can't even get iTunes to recognize her iPad.  When I plug the iPad in, iTunes gives me a popup that says "This iPad cannot be used because the required software is not installed.  Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes."  The thing is, I have already went through the troubleshooter's steps of restarting the iPad, restarting my computer, uninstalling all my Apple software, verifying the files were deleted, and then reinstalling iTunes.  And yes, I installed the 64-bit version of iTunes.  I have a PC running 64-bit Windows 7.  Any thoughts?  All are appreciated!

thoughts on ios 6.1 stability/bug fixes?

Just got a push notification on my ipad saying that ios 6.1 is out.

Anybody brave enough to try it and how is it compared to 6.0.1? (stability and bug fixes are my main concern)

If the numbering schemes are to be trusted, I would figure 6.1 is different enough from 6.0.1 that it gives Apple a chance to break some new things.

I got burned really badly by 6.0 and thankfully 6.0.1 was good enough to fix most of the crash-and-burn problems from 6.0, but these days, I don't trust Apple to come up with anything decent.
