You need the AppleID and passcode used to activate the iPad.
This is a new security feature in iOS 7 called Activation Lock.
Without that information, the iPad is useless.
There is no workaround for activation lock.

I am trying retrieve my serial number for the iPad but no luck on apple/s web site. Is there a way to track it's location after the fact? It was not set up or even registered, guess I was naive thinking it would never get stolen. Any help in how to locate the serial # would help. At least then I can report it stolen.

Question: How do I get music files off a thumb drive into iTunes so I can put the music on my iPad and iphone
I am new to ibooks. Previously have used Nook. I download a lot of books and rather than open each one to see what it is, I was able to hold down the icon for the book and a description would pop up. I cannot find a feature like this in ibooks. I hold down the icon and it opens the book, I just want to see the description. Does anyone know how to do that?

If I buy TV shows through iTunes directly on my iPad but then delete episodes to save space, can I access those previously purchased items again somehow?
My I-Pad will not respond to touch and is password protected so when I try and conect to i-tunesto restore it I get a message saying it cant connect because device is password protected.
I am going round in circles, dont know what is wrong with my i-pad (I havent dropped it or put it trorugh any trauma that would cause it to not work)

So here is my problem:
My father made an Apple ID for me a couple years ago. I use it only for iTunes and iPod Touch. All I ever knew about the ID was the email and password. Today, I wanted to change the email address and I successfully did so. I wanted to reset the password as well but it asks me for the asnwer of the security question. My father doesn't know the answer for the security question. I looked up the support and found out about the recovery email address but the option is nowhere to be found. Where can I change the security questions without knowing the answer and without the recovery email address and also how can I add a recovery email address?
I have read almost every question about the IPAD parental pin and people getting locked out by loosing or forgetting there pin. My question is similar but different.
I have turned on the parental controls and I have the parental pin. My 13 year old daughter has changed the user pin to her own number. Now I am locked out and can't get access to the IPAD. Having a parental pin that does not allow parental access when the pin is changed is usless. (or at least prevents the child from changing it when the parents have turned on parental control.
I read that Apple conciders this a single user devive. That is why Apple will not allow two pins That person does not have a 13 year old girlt that is talking to an older boy or man that will not give you her pin!
I realize that apple is trying to protect the users of the IPAD but in this case Apple may be allowing harm to our children by not allow the parental pin to override the user password.
Can anybody help me get access to this IPAD to try to find out if my daughter is in potential danger? I am sure she is trying to contact this guy now that we have taken her IPAD away. HELP! I can't even take it to the police because they can't access it either!!!

Hi, I want to buy Ipad 4 and a Macbook Pro. My question is how I can know if they support Armenian language?
I'm trying to decide if a 16gb iPad will be enough or if I should get the 32gb. Of course, if money were not an issue I'd get a 128gb, but like most people it is. What I'd like to know if the memory is used primarily for storage, or if it works like RAM in a desktop computer. I may want to use it for some recording and basic sound editing. I'm very familiar with the size of media files, but would an iPad with more memory run more smoothly, or does it have only a small effect?

I received a new iPad 3 last year sometime and I love it and also my zagg keyboard. I do though need to know the details of how I go about giving this iPad 1 to my grandson via his dad of course. How do I change it to his apple ID? Just to make it more interesting my daughter had it for awhile and sometimes it asks for her appleID.
