Re: Bad quality photo prints with AirPlay and iPad

Printing via AirPrint (depending on your printer) usually has very limited printing controls, nowhere near what your PC can likely provide. Maybe you can use an image editing app (there are many free apps including Adobe Photoshop Express) to adjust the picture's brightness levels, then print them via AirPrint. Or sync the photos your your PC and use the PC to print the photos...yes, this defeats the purpose of using AirPrint.

Re: Poor video quality

I would try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...

Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Any possibility that it's the video itself?

transferred picture quality poor on ipad

No, they are on my PC hard disk, and in ITunes/Photo i secelected the folders on the PC for sync to the Ipad.  I have previous synced the same way to IPod touch and Iphone 4 and never had this degradation in quality?

iPhoto may get around the problem, but thats not the point is it?  You should be able to sync though Itunes Photos to the iPad so they at least look good quality - i dont mind if there is a bit of compression/resizing along the way, but they should be adjusted based on destination screen size and quality.

Re: Is it me, or does the camera quality suck?

The camera quality is not good. The iPad camera was really designed to use FaceTime in the device. Yes it is a camera and yes it will take photos. But the quality isn't so hot. You will find that the better the lighting, the better the quality of the photo. The camera on the new iPads is supposed to be a little better than previous versions, but like I said, the camera is intended to be used for FaceTime, the fact that the iPad takes photos is a bonus whether we see it that way or not. Actually, the video quality is pretty good, much better than the still photos.

Personally, I would never use such an unwieldy device to take pictures anyway.
