Re: Copying apps with folder structure from IPhone IOS 7 to IPad IOS 7

As far I am aware, your Apple specialist is correct. This is a list of what iTunes backs up and folder struction is not part of it. Only application settings, preferences, and data, including documents. The iCloud list is shorter.

When synching to effect a folder deletion, must iTunes re-synch the entire ipad contents?

Hi all - I'm fairly new to the mysterious world of iPad, so this issue may be just a frustrating fact of ipad life!

So here's the reason for my post:

I wish to delete a folder of photos from my ipad.  I remove that folder from the folder I use to synch via itunes onto the ipad.  So far so good.  Then I hit synch and iTunes then proceeds to re-synch every photo folder that's still in there, plus all videos, files, apps etc that I still want to remain on the ipad.  This takes a very considerable length of time.  Much, much more time than the simple removal of one photo folder should surely take!

One would think it possible for iTunes to recognise that, and simply remove the unwanted folder, without what is tantamount to a re-install of all the other files. A hard-drive back-up does it sensibly - it merely deals with the changed files and ignores the rest.

Or is there some simpler method that I am missing?

Share music folder ONLY

Dear all, I am having the following issue I hope you can help with:

I am running itunes under windows 8. I have setup two users on the same desktop. Only me has iphone / ipad. Installing itunes it has put its libraries under my user account. However, I wish to share ONLY the music files with the other user i.e. for him to able and listen to the same music files directly from his account. I can obviously give him access rights to the folder but I don't really want to do that. The good option would be to place ONLY the music files under the PUBLIC user account - but I don't know how to do this!

I have found some articles / solutions talking about moving the itunes media folder under "public" account  - but this means that other items apart from music is transfered (not desirable). Any suggestions or directions?

Thank you in advance

outgoing mail not sent BUT appears in "SENT" folder

G'day all!

Just tried to send some PDF's about 225k in size and also a copy past version of the same doc via Mail app. ALL attempts appear to get sent and they DO appear in the SENT folder but they do not get to the recipient. All other attempts to send stuff goes but not but NOT this particular item. I have sent them to myself at various addresses incl. iCloud and my normal ISP's in box for my account. All were sent via iCloud outgoing but none arrived – only the "test" emails (to make sure it wasn't me) arrived All pdf's were made on an iPad. Any clues? very strange indeed! cheers, Sam

How to delete 'edited' iphoto folder on ipad ?

Folks,

Recently in the iphoto app of my ipad3, i have edited one of the photo albums by way of adding captions to the photos in one album.

After which a new album by name 'edited' was found on the album shelf. this folder is never seen in the itunes at the time of syncing. with the contents of the original album and this edited album being the same (including the photo sequence and the captions i have introduced) my questions are:

1. Why this 'edited' folder formed in the first place?

2. Is there a way to deleted this folder and retain only the main folder with captions.

Response would be highly appreciated.

Cheers!

C
