Brighten your iPad with a colorful cover, stream to your TV, download pictures from your digital camera, and more. There’s already so much you can do with iPad and iPad mini
New Ipad air, purchased today, upgraded as soon as box was opened to 7.1.1. Mac mini i7 running mavericks (2 weeks old)
After waiting an undetermined time for icloud to sync (not very long actually) I find SOME of my photos from my mac on my new ipad.
I edit on the ipad (the reason I bought it) and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the edited version to go BACK to my mac.
Honestly, I thought editing was supposed to be "seamless" across platforms; that what you edited on one showed up on the other. This is NOT happening and furthermore there seems to be no way to actually deliberately SEND a picture from one to the other.
The OS makes no sense at all in this regard. Did I waste myu money on the ipad? (I can still return it!)

Open photo stream, tap select, tap the photos to delete, tap the trash can.
I bought my iPad 3 in September 2012. Until late 2013 the photos I took wih it appeared automatically on my Toshiba laptop which has Windows 7 operating system. Then this stopped, and I am not aware of any reason why this should happen or of how I can re-start sharing. Can someone please tell me what I can do to remedy this ?
I am syncing about 30 GB of photos and videos from my computer to my iPad using the latest version of iTunes (just updated today).
It's not my first time syncing my photo library. I've done it on my iPad 2, iPad 3 and even the iPhone 4S and this has been by far the slowest: almost two hours and I am not even half-way through.
Has anyone else had this problem? Sure, I mean recently... I have seen many other discussions on the issue.
I'm trying to import all of the photos from my iPad to my laptop. Although I can clearly see TONS of photos on my iPad, when I plug it into my laptop all that are showing as available for import are two that I already imported and 86 "new" ones.
How can I import other "old" ones?
Not sure how much difference this makes, but my iPad is an older one (first iPad) as is my MacBook, although my MacBook has all of the updates available for it.
We use iPads as photo albums. I have several model iPads and the photo order is different on Avery one. How do I get them to sort in the order I want, preferably alphabetically.

1. If album was created directly on the iPad then you should be able to delete it via the Edit button.
2. If album was synced from a computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to reconnect the iPad to your computer's iTunes, de-select that album/folder on the Photos tab and re-sync.
"Is there an easy to understand way to sync photos from an iPad to a laptop running Windows?"
You do not sync photos from the iPad to a computer - you import them to the computer. It really doesn't get an easier to understand than what is explained in this kb article.

If you are asking about syncing photos from the computer to the iPad, that is something different. I do not have Photo Manager Pro but I do have another Wireless Transfer app and it could not be easier to use. I suspect that there is something missing from your description of what you are trying to do.
For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
If you want to change the order of photos that you synced to the iPad from your computer then you need to do it on your computer and then re-sync them : iPad photo sorting. Once the photos are in an album on the iPad you can't change their order.
You can also create new photo albums directly on the iPad if you have iOS 5+ on it via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen, and the photos that you copy into those albums (you can't move you can only copy) will be sorted by the order that you them into them i.e. if you add a new photo to the album then it should appear as the last one.
