I have a Lexmark pro901 wireless printer, how do I get my iPad to print to it? How do I know if I have an iPad or ipad2?
I just bought an Epson XP 400 wireless air print printer. The printer is fine and connected to my network easily, but my iphone5 and ipad3 will not recognize it over my network? My macbook pro does print to it wirelessly. Any suggestions?
Mike
From what you've told us, the iPad should see the printer. No, you do not need any additional software on your iPad. You just need to be sure the HP drivers are current.
Here's an article that might help:

please help.

That printer is not supported by Airprint, the app that the iPad uses to print.

Is the printer wifi? If so, you might be able to use a Lexmark printing app (if one exists), or a generic printing app. Check the app store for printing apps, there are several that are good.
John, is there any way of your going back and editing/fixing this comment?!
"Handy Print is for photos only and has no reviews."
I realize that you are referring to an app for an i-device (and clear this up later in the thread), but for those people who are looking for Airprinting and Netputing's HandyPrint program for the Macs, this could lead them astray... they might not even read the entire thread! Or, they might skim it, focusing on Printopia, and missing your later clarification.
In any event, in case anyone else stumbles across this, HandyPrint (the pref pane for the Mac), works fantastically well and lets you print all sorts of things-- text, photos, web pages, etc. diectly from your iPad!!
It works well-- and, no, I have no connection with the company, the developer, or the program--just a happy user!

Can't print from ipad2 to hp b110 printer when I tap print icon box opens with correct printer info but tap print nothing happens
I received a new iPad for Xmas. I also have both an imac and iphone 4s. Last week I received a Canon MG 3100 wireless printer.
My problem is that whilst I can print through both my iMac and iPhone when I try to print using the new iPad the printer is recognised but when I press the print button I am taken straight back to the home screen. I have tried this several times. I have also synced the iPad with Itunes and tried for updates but there were none shown. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
Kodak may offer an app to help you. Check the App Store.
I have an Epson printer. There's an Epson app, but its abilities are much more limited than AirPrint (e.g., Epson app does not print from Safari).
