gmail no longer works after iOS 6.1.3 update
I just updated my iPad 3 to iOS 6.1.3 and immediately noticed that when I tried to open the mail client, it would launch and shut off. Turns out that I had to delete all of my gmail accounts and then the mail client worked. I tried to add the gmail accounts back but now I get the following error:
The IMAP server "imap.gmail.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field.
The strange part is that I also updated my iPhone 5 and everything works fine, including gmail! I check the setting between the two devices and they are the same.
Apparently, many have reported these types of issues over the past few days. However, I've yet to see a solution. Apple hasn't seemed to have responded at all.

when avaible choose imap or if only pop3 is avaible set it to never delete the mail from the server
otherwise the first of your devices which download the mail removes it

Deleting items in gmail spam folder via iPad.
How do I delete all the items in bulk from my gmail spam folder on my iPad? Right now I have to mark each item and then press delete. Help please.

Cannot receive emails through gmail via Microsoft exchange. Calendar and contacts won't sync either. HELP!
My gmail is set up through Microsoft Exchange. My initial problem was that my google calendar and contacts were not syncing to the iPad. My mail was pushing just fine. Frustrated, I decided to delete the exchange account and add it all over from scratch. Now the iPad cannot receive mail. A message pops up and says "network connection failed". My wifi is working fine as my iPhone 4 is receiving mail, etc. And still contacts/calendar are not syncing. What's the fix please??
