ipad and imac listed as one device on router wifi page

I have a linksys ea2700 router and the imac and ipad are listed as one device.

I have problems with the ipad losing the wifi, especially when streaming.

My iphone is a device on the router page.

So, is there a way to separate the ipad from the imac device?

I have tried all the solutions listed in these pages to no avail.

I have tried all of the solutions on these pages and nothing seems to work at all.  I have a Netgear WGR612v1 wireless router which works with all my other equipment such as iphone4s, Asus tablet, HTC HD2 phone and my LG Laptop yet I cannot get my ipad to connect at all.  Is there a router that does work without having to go through all these solutions or is this the same for all makes and we just have to live with it or return it to the store?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Colin
