My family is currently sharing the same icloud on 6 different devices. We'd like for everyone to now have serperate icloud accounts, but will some of us loose downloads if we change icloud accounts?

As long as you share the same iTUNES account log in, you will have access to the family downloads, but have different ID's for

Settings > iCloud

SEttings > Facetime

Settings > MEssages > Send/recieve at

Have your family have a DIFFERENT apple id in these settings,

For the store just...

SEttings > ITunes & App Store

HAVE THE SAME ID SIGNED IN HERE; you will keep access to teh same account so Child A can have Child D's downloads and viceversa; However do note that set this expectation early; if the kids /ever/ want to have their own itunes store account they will not be able to update/redownload any music belonging to the other account and will have to repurchase them to add them to their own account

There is no exception, so if they want to fly solo, sooner then later is better.

Newsstand never downloads content automatically

I have over 8 subscriptions in newsstand including wired, National Geographic, Popular Photography, the Daily, Spin ect... None of these magazines ever download in the background when a new issue becomes available. I have over 700MB of space free on my iPad. Any thoughts?

I have this same issue .  I'm running iOS 6.1.3 and each day I have to download the NYTimes and WSJ.  I also have to do the same with my weekly/monthly magazines (NY Tiimes, WSJ, NY Magazine, New Yorker, Men's Fitness, Wired, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest, This Old House, etc).  I've checked the newsstand settings - they ARE set to automatically download the magazines.

I'm not sure when the issue started - ie if it coincided with my update to iOS 6.1.3. 

Does anyone else out there have a similar issue under 6.1.3?   I've searched around the forum and can only find people who's issues were resolved (6.0.x and 5.x versions). 

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Update deleted all my CDs but not iTunes downloads... help.

After updating my iTunes library, it has deleted all the CDs that I've downloaded onto it, and I can only find them if I look in the search bar by typing the name of a song. However, these files don't play, can't be transferred back into iTunes, don't open, and are not in any folder.... not even the recycling bin. The only way too describe it is that it is as if iTunes has a degenerative mental disease, and has forgotten some friendly faces. It has a small photo, but no matter how hard you try to get it to remember, it can't, and has no recollection of anything to do with those 'friends'. It has a feeling that the files have something to do with it, but it doesn't know how or where to place them.

 

I'm very frustrated, as it's also taken it upon itself to delete those songs on my iPod, even though I haven't plugged it into the laptop for fear of it doing something stupid. Looks like it beat me to it. It also started to cut the ends of its own downloaded (iTunes bought) songs, which I managed to sort out by deleting the file from the library and from the recycle bin, and then redownloading off the iCloud, though that itself is incredibly tedious.

 

So annoying! Any help or guidance would be much appreciated! And finally, out of sheer curiousity; is anybody else having/had a similiar dillema?

Stopping video downloads in iTunes

I just purchased a season of a TV show - did this through iTunes on my iPad (ios 6.0.1). It automatically starts to download, only I don't want to download the whole season, and all the extraneous materials (behind the scenes, etc). Previously I would just pause the download and then swipe left to right to delete it. Apparently this does not work. I've tried everything, including searching support forums. This is nuts....why so difficult? Can anyone please help?
