Why can't Apple TV's and iOS devices see home sharing on my Windows 7 computer when iTunes libraries on other computers on the same network and connected to the same Home Sharing can?

I have never previously had any problems with Home Sharing, I have always found it to be completely reliable as advertised. I have 2 computers in the house, (one MacBook and one Windows Desktop) connected to the same Home Sharing account, connected to the same BT Home Hub 4. My situation is that I have nearly 2TB of data of which I would like to share with the home wirelessly, in my mind the desktop is the logical place for this to be shared from.

When running, iTunes on this desktop broadcasts to other iTunes libraries, but no other iOS devices or Apple TV's connected to the same Home Sharing account cannot see it.

I have tried turning Home Sharing off, and then turning it back on, closing iTunes, restarting the computer, going to Network and Sharing Centre and unticking IPv6 in the network adapter properties, even completely wiping the computer and reinstalling Windows 7.

One of the Apple TV's in the house was recently purchased by my parents with the promise from me that everything would work seamlessly... so far it isn't and I am frustrated that the Apple technology that I have come to rely on isn't working as expected.

One thing that has occurred to me upon writing this is that it is a very large amount of data, and I have not attempted to share this with another computer that is currently working and broadcasting it's Home Share fine.

I am sorry if I have ommitted any important details, any further questions don't hesitate to ask. I would be so grateful of any suggestions, my parents are depending on me.

Whenever I plugin an iTunes device to my computer the volume of all active applications lowers. What would cause this?

Basically any iDevice I plug into my PC lowers the volume of all active applications to about 10% no matter its previous level. I've tested this with several iDevices and they all act in the same manner. I've reinstalled iTunes and tested this out on a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Importing photos from my computer, running windows, to iPad Air is extremely slow!

Hey guys,

I am syncing about 30 GB of photos and videos from my computer to my iPad using the latest version of iTunes (just updated today).

It's not my first time syncing my photo library. I've done it on my iPad 2, iPad 3 and even the iPhone 4S and this has been by far the slowest: almost two hours and I am not even half-way through.

Has anyone else had this problem? Sure, I mean recently... I have seen many other discussions on the issue.

Thanks in advance

I just bought a new computer and authorized it according to instructions, however the new unit does not show up on the authorized devices list and my iPad won't attach. Any thoughts?

I just bought a new computer and authorized it according to instructions. However, it does not show up on the authorized devices list and my iPad won't connect through it.   The iPad and the original computer are still listed as the only authorized devices.  Any ideas on how to fix this?  Thanks.

my ipad no longer connects to my wifi and says the password is incorrect when I know it is correct as it is working on my computer and other ipad

I was able to connect to wifi at both school and home on my ipad 5.  However, now I am not able to connect to the wifi at home as the ipad states I am putting in the wrong password.

However, I know the password is right since I used it for my computer and other ipad which are connected to the internet.

Can anyone please help?  I have already tried resetting the settings several times and the wifi settings will not let me forget this network.

Where do I find my music synced from my computer?

Where do I open my library on the device? As far as I know my ipad mini iOS7 sync was successful. The "Music" app only lets me see songs if I purchased them from the iTunes library, and it redirects me to the iTunes Store app telling me that my library is empty.

Re: my ipad is disable and is telling me to connect to itunes and i dont own a personal computer. However; i have made major itunes purchases and i dont want to lose any my music and info. please help

There is no way around it. You have to restore your iPad now. You still need access to a computer or an iOS device of some type in order to use Find My iPhone so that you can wipe the device and start all over again.

Read this for more information.

If you have an iCloud backup, you may be able to restore from that after you activate the device again. You will be able to download most of your paid content again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID.

Can you have 2 iTunes accounts on one computer?

My husband and I each have an iTunes account. We both have phones, iPads and until now had separate computers. One computer has bit the dust and we want to share one MacBook Pro. Can we have separate iTunes accounts, so we can sync phones and iPads,.

Transfer photos on ipad to computer.

Have checked out that file. Yes, that's what I'm trying to do, drag and drop the files, but nothing shows up in the list. That is, the ipad device shows p under My Computer, but after that, the screen is empty. No photo files display.

This is the same process I have used before, but now, there is nothing. I do t understand, and the only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the number of files.

I'm stuck. I don't want to lose 5 months precious photos.
