Why is Remote app album view different than iTunes?

I use the Remote app on my iPad to control the streaming of my PC's iTunes music library to my stereo.  I like the Album view because I can see most of the album covers. In iTunes 11.1 on my PC, album view displays the albums alphabetically by artist.  i.e. all Beatles albums are listed before any Rolling Stones albums.  But when viewing the same library on my iPad using the Remote app, the albums are listed alphabetically by album title, not by artist.  So each artist's albums are scattered all over.  I don't know about you, but when I'm looking for an album to play, I think about artists, not titles of albums.  But there doesn't seem to be any way to change the way the Remote app orders albums.  Am I missing something?  Is there any way to configure the Remote app to display albums in artist order?

Remote App Only Plays One Song At A Time

When using the Remote App on my iPhone or iPad to play music from my iTunes collection over Apple TV, only one song at a time will play.  I can select the album I want to hear through the menu, select a track to play, but one that song ends the music stops... it won't continue to the next song on the album.  Any advice?

My remote app doesn't want to change the orientation.

My remote app doesn't want to change the orientation. I've try even to erase it and reinstall it but still it is only available in vertical position.

Why is that? I'm pretty sure that it was able to go to horizontal orientation.

I have iPad 3rd generation wifi + 3G with 64gb of memory. iOS 7 installed.

Why can't I rotate "remote" on my iPad envy more?

Why can't I rotate remote on my iPad envy more? It's very ennoying when you want to have the label of the music playing on full screane and iPad standing up, then it showed 90 deg offset!

It worked before the update to iOS 7.0. Hope Apple will fix this issue sone :)

Re: remote app rotation locked in portrait orientation after iOS 7 upgrade

Same issue.  What's interesting is that I have two iPads on ios7 and one has the landscape issue with Remote, the other does not (it works fine).  After ruling out configuration settings differences, it's clear to me that this is a corner case bug of some sort.  Unfortunately a lot of us appear to fall into that corner case....

Ipad mini remote app will connect to my itunes library and apple tv but won't display content from itunes library on the apple tv section of remote app

What I am trying to do is very simple, and I am sure I have done it before.

I have an Apple TV (2nd Gen) connected to Wifi Network (Airport Extreme 802.11n) I want to stream content from the itunes library on my macbook pro over the wifi network to the Apple TV. This works no problem, home sharing is set up and I can see the itunes library under 'Computer' on the Apple TV interface. I can use the Apple Remote to scroll through and play content from my itunes. Works no problem.

Now I want to use the remote app on my ipad mini to control the apple tv. Using up to date app (Version 3.01) Again, everything looks like it should work. I have turned on Home Sharing on the remote app settings. It works fine and both my itunes library and Apple TV show up on the interface. I can touch the itunes icon and control the itunes on my computer and play music and video on my computer screen.

Now when I touch the apple tv icon I can't see my itunes library content to play on the apple tv. I see the below image. If I tap on the icon in the bottom left it takes me back to the screen in the first image. What is the strangest thing is that I can control the apple tv using the gestures interface! This isn't what I want though and I want to be able to see the itunes library on the screen of the ipad and play it on the apple tv. You can see in the video on this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvEpgcE9KCs). This is what I am trying to do and I just don't understand why I don't get the screen seen at 1:25 in the video. Instead I get the screen seen in the below image. Any ideas? I know that the remote app is connecting to the apple TV because I can control it using gestures, just strange I can't see the content on the ipad like in the attached video clip, instead I see the screen in the image below. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Home sharing, 2 macs, and Remote on iPad

I have two macs both running Home Sharing with the same apple ID. I have Remote set up on my iPad.

I have my main music library downstairs on my mac pro. This is played on my mac mini upstairs via Home Sharing.

I want the iPad Remote to control the music by playing it on the mac mini.

The first time I used the iPad Remote, it worked fine, but later in the day it played the music on my mac pro instead. How can I tell it to play through a specific computer?

is there a way to give multiple apple tv's nicknames? so remote can differentiate?

i have 3 apple tv's for different tv's in the house -

when i connect my iphone or ipad using the "remote" app - it finds all 3 of them, but they are all called "Apple TV" - i have no idea which one is which - and if i choose the wrong one, it won't work on that Apple TV-

is there a solution for this that I haven't been able to find yet?  I can't be the only one with multiple apple tv's at home, am I?

Thanks in advance for any help!
