Ever since IOS 7. iPad keeps crashing. Ready to chuck all apple products. Have done all the recommended actions. Can't use it for more than 10 minutes. No happy anymore

Are you using a Windows computer to sync and update?

Crashes indicate damaged/corrupted software which happens sometimes if hardware is also damaged, but more often if the software is not syncing to the iPad properly.

You can try a hard reboot - hold power and home button till it cycles off then on again, then let go.   I don't believe that will fix your software crashes.

I would recommend restoring to factory, updating over a reliable wifi connection and restore your data from cloud storage.

Any more problems after that, take it in for Apple service.

Do you ask other pilots what is the "best" operating environment for your aircraft? Do you operate your aircraft outside operating specifications?

Maybe I'm not understanding your question but what you are asking makes little sense to me. Maybe try rephrasing the question or tell us why you think the specified environment is not the best environment.

iPad (iOS 4.3) not syncing. No recommended fixes work.  Cant install new ios version. Cant use wifi or icloud to sync. I think the only way forward is to buy a new iPad - but don't want to lose all the books purchased, as well as the apps, on this one - any suggestions on how to save these/transfer to new device?
