My iPad is disabled to the point of 'Connect to iTunes', when I first got it, I synced it to iTunes. However, my laptop needed repair and Acer wiped all the data, now I cannot unlock my iPad.

I have put it restore mode by holding the 'home' button and connecting it to my computer, but then it asks me to 'update and restore'. All good there, until.. After downloading about 200mb of the update, it gives me an error message telling me that iTunes cannot connect to this iPad because I require a passcode to unlock to iPad. It seems to be one big vicious loop. Please help if possible.

Re: My iPad is disabled to the point of 'Connect to iTunes', when I first got it, I synced it to iTunes. However, my laptop needed repair and Acer wiped all the data, now I cannot unlock my iPad.

You may want to try DFU Mode

1. Turn off device

2. Hold down power button for 3 seconds

3. Without releasing the power button, also hold the Home button for 10 seconds

4. Without releasing the Home button, release the power button and keep holding the Home button for 20 seconds

iTune will identify that you are in DFU Mode

First time syncing iTunes to iPad

This the first time that I have synced my iPad to my computer for the first.  Thinking back to when I synced my iPod to my computer, I would get a screen display that that said "Do not disconnect and iTunes would tell you that the Syncing process is complete. At that time you would know it was OK to pull the cord.  There was no notification on eitherbthe MacBook or the iPad that anything was going on.  I transferred over 300 songs from my MacBook 2,0 laptop over to the music App on the iPad.  The music library is there, including the playlists, but when I click on a particular song, the clock the progress bar do not advance.  Could it be that I did allow enough time for the syncing cycle to complete?

Plug iPad into PC first time

My wife has had an iPad for a few months. She also has an iPhone, and uses a windows laptop with XP.

The iPhone has been backed up on the laptop using iTunes.

The iPad has never been plugged into the laptop.

Now, she has some photos on the laptop she would like to transfer to the iPad. I plugged the iPad into the laptop and iTunes says something like "welcome to your new iPad - what do you want to do (a) set up your new iPad or (b) restore from backup". It references the iPhone backup.

My question is, what will happen if I select "Set up your new iPad"? - will it wipe the iPad? It's been working just fine, and she has bought some apps for it that she wouldn't want to lose.

All I really want to do is copy about 50 photos over, you'd think that would be easy?

thanks

Is there a way to deauthorize just those two?

Just got my first Apple TV......need help

I got an apple tv for Christmas and tried to hook it up last night.  I powered up and shows to be connected to my wireless signal (the same wireless that I'm using to post this problem) and it won't get past the "Setting date and time" screen.  I've restarted the apple tv and rebooted my modem with no positive results thus far.  This is really frustrating......please help.
