I upgraded my iPad mini and now Facebook will not open. Asks me to go to settings and insert password. Right password, but will still not work. In Hay Day the game has lost my friends that I have got via Facebook?? And i cant insert them because it requires me to go to settings and insert password. That it will not except!!! Why did I upgrade? it worked fine before. I dont want to reset my ipad that will lose all data...

1) i logged out of facebook BOTH on my iphone and on my computer

2) iphone settings --> facebook --> delete account

3) iphone settings --> facebook --> enter email (not phone number) and password

4) I no longer get the error message "cannot communicate with the server" in the iphone settings --> facebook screen

5) logged back into the facebook app

Re: Facebook app - iPad makes spark sound when I type on it

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong location.

Basically, my problem is that, when I go on my Facebook app, every time time I type a key on the touch pad key board, a spark/crackle sound comes from the speaker. It's sort of like that crackle sound you hear when there's a wire bent or broken in your speakers, except its only one crackle sound each time I press a key.

I'm going to take it into the Mac store as soon as I get a chance, but that might not be for a couple of days, and I use this thing a lot. Any advice? Has anyone else had this problem?

Problema con los contactos de mi iPhone 5 sincronizados con Facebook.

Tengo la agenda de mi iPhone 5 sincronizada con Facebook. ¿Por que se cambian de nombre algunos contactos? Me explico. Un contacto de Facebook con nombre Pipo y en mi agenda de iCloud con nombre Paco, Los fusiono y pongo que se muestre en mi iphone el nombre de iCloud, Paco. Pues ahí va la cosa, cada vez que ese contacto publica algo en facebook se me cambia el nombre en mi agenda y vuelve a aparecer su nombre del Facebook, o sea Pipo.

¿Como puedo solucionarlo? Tiene pinta de ser un problema de IOS.

Has everybody the same problem with the new iOS system that apps like facebook are suddenly shut down?

If i ask it on facebook to my friends they all have the same problem.  With the facebook app and with other apps also.

It's anoying when you are replying to someone and you can start all over again after it has closed down.

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased the wonderful iPad.

Unfortunately the Facebook APP keep shutting down after signing in.

I have tried reinstalling, rebooting system, in fact, everything that peeps have suggested on various email feeds etc

Since someone first suggested using Puffin browser, I have been using that with mostly success.  It's a little funky at times but generally loads much faster than Safari.  Rarely it has problems and can't seem to load the page at all but for the most part it works.  Not a solution to Safari but makes me happy enough.  (Using iPad 1 and mostly 3G. My problem started with Safari and Facebook around September 2012.)

Do you need  a facebook account to view pages that are open to all? E.g. I went to the facebook page of the RSPCA but couldn't open it.  When I try and open the page there is a padlock on the tab.  Though I don't have a Twitter account, I can view tweets without any trouble.

The 'Youtube' application was removed from the IOS due to seperations of companys. The 'Youtube' app can be found in the app store on your iPad, just search 'Youtube'!  (just making you aware)

Check your connections to your device, are you signing in using cellular or wifi to sign in?

This can is a common problem, be sure to check your connect to the internet
