Trouble downloading book to IBooks

I tried purchasing a book on my Ipad.  The "purchase" green icon was unresponsive, so I went onto IBooks on my Mac and successfully purchased and downloaded the book.

I then went back to the IPad and tried to download the book.  It apperas under my purchased books, but never downloads, I just have the black progess (or, in this case, lack thereof) bar across the bottom.

I have rebooted the Ipad.  No change.

I cannot see how to download the book from the Ipad to rray and start again.

What other options pls ?

iOS iTunes store: downloading previously purchased alert tones?

Please pardon this post if it's in the wrong forum. I'm writing in with a question about the iOS version of the iTunes store and more specifically about downloading items purchased on one iOS device to another iOS device without having to buy them again. I've already submitted a suggestion for an improvement to the store via the feedback portion of the Apple site.

On to the question!

Exposition: I purchased a Star Trek alert tone on my iPhone 5 (running latest iOS) and wanted to download that same purcahsed alert tone onto my iPad2 (also latest iOS). I can't find the alert tone in the Purchased section of the iTunes store on the iPad. The Purchased section is apparently not searchable, and I don't see the alert tone listed under Recent Purchases, even though it is my most recent purchase. When I find the alert tone in the store proper, I can see it and I receive a message about having already purchased it. I am not given an option to download it from that screen.

The question is: what am I doing wrong here? Shoudn't I be able to download that previously purchased alert tone to my iPad?

Thanks in advance!

Downloading Previous Purchases of Pre-Orders

So here's the scenario.

Arctic Monkey's 'AM' Album released today.

I had previously purchased the singles for 'R U Mine' and 'Why'd you only call me..'.

This morning I downloaded the Album but it only downloaded the songs I don't have as singles? Obviously now for neatness I want the singles to be the album version and remove the singles from my iTunes Library.

When I go to the store I see 'play' on all the songs in the album except the singles previously bought which are labelled 'purchased'.

When I go to Purchased under iTunes store I see the album but only the tracks which were not previously bought as singles.

I didn't use 'Complete my Album' to buy this album as it was a preorder.

Why can I not download the album versions of these songs so they sit under the album in my library with the correct artwork?

Updates and downloading help!

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

How much available storage space do you have?

Check at Settings>General>About>Available

? Cheers, Tom

Downloading apps stuck on waiting...

For the past few days I've been unable to download any apps from the App Store on my iOS devices, including the iPad and iPhone. I click "install", it asks for my password, it goes back to the home screen and the icon pops up and it says "waiting…" underneath, and then nothing ever happens. It's just stuck on waiting forever. It's basically what you would expect would happen if the store was down or my internet was down, except neither is the case.

I called Apple support and the only thing they had to offer was to do a factory reset on both my iPad and iPhone. I'd rather not do that because it's a pain. Plus, how can it be a hardware problem when it's happening on BOTH of my devices? It sounds like a problem with my account on their end, but they had no idea.

Has this happened anybody else? Anybody have any ideas?

For the record, I can still download apps onto my computer in iTunes and then sync those apps to my devices, I just can't download apps directly from my devices. Very strange.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer! =)

Philip

Re: Downloading apps stuck on waiting...

Had all these problems, but the solution by TylerDurden777 worked: Go to updates tab located in the "App Store" icon.  Select the app that is stuck installing.  It brings you to the app details, reviews, etc.

Then click on the app icon located at the top left of the screen.  When you do this it places the app icon onto your home screen.  Click on the app again that has been placed on the home screen and it should start installing. (If you already had the app on the home screen you may be able to skip straight to this step, but in my case, the app icon was missing thought it was trying to install.)

Or, after you have added the app to your home screen, you can delete it (press, hold till jiggles, then tap the X). That will delete the hung install process, but without the app.

Later, if you wish, you can redownload. It will ask about purchase, but when you say "yes" it will figure out you have already purchased and give it to you free.

In my case, it is possible that out of date credit card info was involved in the hang, though I doubt it.

Music not downloading to iPad from iCloud

I bought a new iPad mini and have signed into iCloud. Looks like all my settings are correct. I wanted all my 65 songs to download from my iPhone 4S to my new iPad. They come up under not on this iPad and they start to download from the iTunes and it looks as if they did finish. I get no errors but when I check my music app it says there is no music. I have tried this a couple times and still nothing ? Am I doing something wrong? It's not a issue of storage either as I have 6 gigs left. Thanks
