Can I use FaceTime and messaging on my IPad whilst in turkey

if it's from a free wifi service it's free

if they charge people for using the wifi you will be notified in advance

if it is using 3g you should use a pre paid sim card or roaming costs will likely be high

Re: Ipad charger exploded whilst my kid was using it

This is an Apple user to user forum. Apple doesn't read or respond.

If you donj't report it to Apple, thay have no way to know of the failure.  Take it/pictures to an Apple store, or send a letter to Apple.
