Can I make separate folders for my pics

On the photos page, select edit, check the photos you want to group, then select Add to.

You can choose an existing album, or add them to an existing album.

Existing albums must have been created on the iPad. It doesn't use albums created in iPhoto.

If you have iPhoto, you can tag photos with keywords, which allows a virtual grouping by any number of tags.
