I bought new music with my mom's Apple ID and I want to put them onto my iPhone. When I go to download them from her Apple ID "Purchased", I get a message that says: "This Device Is Already Associated With An Apple ID. If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with another Apple ID for 90 days." What happens if I click 'Transfer'? Will I still be able to download music on my own Apple ID account?

My Dad and a couple others bought music on my iPad using their iTunes accounts. I have deleted the albums as I don't want them anymore. They don't not show on the iPad, but when I plug it into iTunes and look at what "What's on my iPad" it has the albums and songs bought, but they are greyed out. I delete them, and then when I plug my iPad in again and they re-appear. This is doing my head in, I don't know how to stop it. Okay, about 2-3 months ago out of nowhere my iPods/iPod nano and iPad wouldn't appear on iTunes. My iPod nano shows up on my PC and on iTunes but it says its been detected and that I should unplug/plug it back in to work, and that I should reinstall iTunes for it to work. I have restarted apple mobile device support/restarted my PC, reinstalled iTunes COUNTLESS TIMES, deleted everything apple, restarted my iPad/iPod. Also my iPod charges just fine to a wall outlet but when I connect it it doesn't even show up on iTunes or my PC, my iPod nano shows up on my PC and on iTunes but with a message that suggests re-installing iTunes. I've tried everything to fix it, at first when I installed the iTunes update it wouldnt download Apple mobile device support so I had to manually do it, now every time i re-install itunes it downloads. My post work just fine and so does my USB cable. I have alot of new music and I'm just dying to put it on my iOS devices but it doesnt work! I need some serious fast help! If you resolve my problem I'll email you an unused $10 iTunes giftcard. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

For days now I haven't been able to sync ANYTHING from my laptop onto my ipad (using sync cable)
I have recently imported an album onto itunes and tryed to sync it but it wont.

I believe the iTunes Store was updated earlier this week during WWDC, though I am not certain.
What I am certain of, however, is that the App Store has been unusable on my iPad since then. As you can see in the pic below, the store is being rendered in a horrendous manner.

Hi,
I transferred my CDs to Itunes (v 11.0.2.26) on my PC. I want to put them on my IPAD. I connect a USB cable to my IPAD. I see "IPAD " in the top RIGHT of itunes, but I do not see it under "file" devices". It seems to do a sync of tunes from ipad to Itunes....but I cant get it to put my CD music, that is on itunes, onto the IPAD. Internet instructions say there will be a devices list in left sidebar. I see "devices" under the file menu, but all options are dimmed. There is no sidebar with the device where I could presumably drag things to.
I must be missing something. Have fiddled for endless hours....any help much appreciated!

It won't download apps, books, update apps. They all get stuck on "waiting" or "downloading" but the bar never shows any progress. I connected it to iTunes on my laptop and it just kept making my iTunes freeze up. I then finally got it to stop freezing and I tried to restore it to factory settings. It kept saying my network connection timed out, which it didn't. It finally tried installing an update, which took 6 hours, and then in the last 7 minutes remaining, said my network connection timed out. I restarted the device - no change. Turned it off for 24 hours - no change. Tried adding apps from iTunes - no change. Reset all settings and content - no change. I have no idea what to do. Could my iPad have some sort of virus?

I have downloaded Itunes from this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1037 because the other link www.apple.com/itunes/download/ when i click on the download button, it will ask me where would i like to save at, once i have selected the location, nothing was downloaded.
I have spend 6 hours+ on trying to make Itunes detect my Ipad mini, but nothing seems to work, im so tired of it, can someone please help me?
I have tried various methods, none of it works, i have tried:
1) Unistall everything of apple software in control panel, and reinstall the program again
2) Updating my windows update to the latest version
3) I tried to sync but the word in Itunes for Sync is gray in colour, perhaps is due to the program have yet to detect my Ipad mini
4) I went and disable all my firewall, antivirus and so on, and did something like in msconfig to disable all..........
5) And some other move which i have forgotten.
6) Finally, I go to Device Manager and located my Ipad mini in Portable Devices, inside portable devices there is my ipad mini named (Apple Ipad), so i followed the solution provided by this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 when i reach step 5, i was at IF ONLY APPLE IPAD APPEAR, which is the same scenario as mine, so i tried following the steps, when i reach this section that says i need to do this (Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).) and i click ok, and this message pops up (The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.) This has made me stop right here, please help me, i cannot fix my Itunes to detect my Ipad mini?

Every time I go toIBooks to buy I have trouble with IBooks which goes back to my books I have already bought, all I want is to find books I want to buy but it just goes back to my library and not to the store, if you look into my site I have about 130 books and still am buying more so even when I have read them I keep in my library to remind me not to buy the same ones or about the author. I cannot connect my iPad to my iPhone 4 via bluetooth anymore. At one stage months ago it was possible. so help, please! The iphone is a 4 model MC605B/A with version 6.1.3 software; the ipad is model MC705B/A also running software version 6.1.3. On both devices the other device is visible when the bluetooth is set to "on" but when the name of the device is tapped to connect the error message "Connectin unsuccessful. make sure iphone is turned on and in range". The devices are placed next to one another. I have powered down both devices but stil the same issues.

iTunes seems to reduce the size to approx 1500x1000 pixels, 700kB.

I really hope someone can help me fix this or at least provide a temporary fix.
I do a lot of graphic art on all my apple devices; MacBook, iPad 2, iPhone 5 etc.
So lately I was using Sketchbook Ink and was doing a portrait of a woman wearing a jacket.
The jacket's colour on the ipad was BLUE
But when exported to my computer or uploaded to facebook, all the blue colours had turned purple.
And some of the other colours also seemed very dull when compared to viewing on the ipad screen
Has anybody else out there experienced the same issues?
If you could offer any advice or fix, I'd very much appreciate it.

I have not found Siri useful on my iPad mini. Apple store could not help much as it is so noisy there. I decided Siri was just a novelty and stopped trying. I was with friends the other day. They use Siri constantly on iPhone 4S. We were on the same WiFi network. Siri was responding to them. When Siri did respond to me at all it was I don't understand what you want. I speak clearly. Easy question. What is the current temperature?
Siri is not better at home. Does not understand. Apple store told me to talk into the top of the iPad. Not really sure why or where. Again too noisy in the store to be helpful.
Any suggestions or should I just get over it and forget Siri. I do feel extremely foolish in public speaking into the top of a device that ignores me. It would be silly even if Siri responded. Why the thop of the iPad mini?

When I speak about recording a video, I'm talking about a 20 second clip that would take up about 15 MB and could be deleted as soon as you test the sound. It's just a way to rule out a problem with the microphone, that's all.
I've seen you post here in the past and I think you know your way around the iPad, so I don't want to suggest things that you tried. Other than resetting all settings, or the most drastic measure of totally restoring the iOS software, I really don't know what else to try.

OK - I just saw your reply and we can rule out the mic now. Have you tried resetting all settings? It is time consuming to set them all back up again, but you won't lose any data or content.

I read in a discussion here some months ago where another Bluetooth device (gaming console) in the same room prevented the keyboard from popping up for one user. At least that was the OP's claim.
Quit the Settings app completely and reboot the iPad.
Tap the home button.
Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Settings app icon until it begins to wiggle.
Tap the minus 
sign in the upper left corner of the Settings app.
Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that let's you back into the settings app, you might want to try Settings>WiFi>Your network name>Tap the blue Arrow>Forget this Network. Restart your iPad and then go back to the WiFi settings, find your network and try to join again.Or Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Restart the iPad, go back to the WiFi setting, find your network and try to join again.
This should have no effect on syncing the songs to the iPad, but I recall a couple of other users saying that they did this and then they were able to sync.
Close all apps on your iPad and then try to sync again.
Tap the home button once.

You ask about upgrading an iPod: you are on an iPad forum: you indicate that you have an iPad running iOS 6.1.4, which only runs on an iPhone 5.
I'm confused. Could you start again?
Not sure whether you want to upgrade to iOS 5 or you have iOS 5 and want to upgrade from it, but you can only update to the highest iOS 6 version that a device supports, which for an iPad 2 is 6.1.3. If you already have iOS 5+ then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update option on it for direct update update on it, otherwise you can only update via your computer's iTunes.
To update via your computer, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes and selecting 'Backup' (on iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC)
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand sidebar, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Do you use a Bluetooth keyboard with the iPad? If you do, make sure that you turn the keyboard off and turn Bluetooth off on the iPad.
I read in a discussion here some months ago where another Bluetooth device (gaming console) in the same room prevented the keyboard from popping up for one user. At least that was the OP's claim.

Some knows what is the last state of having an UISplitviewcontroller in an UITabbarController? Has any one any app with an UISplitViewController in a UITabBarController already in AppStore?
I’m still finding in the documentation, that the UISplitViewController has to be the root of the APP.

There is no default time for custom events. You can set the time for anything that you like when you create the event. The settings for Birthdays and All Day Events only give you the choices that you see in this screenshot. So to answer your question, no you cannot change from 9:00 AM for these events unless you choose None and select your own time
If you want to change the default time to None the path is Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Calendars>Default Alert Times>Birthdays or All Day Events.

I really hope someone can help me fix this or at least provide a temporary fix.
I do a lot of graphic art on all my apple devices; MacBook, iPad 2, iPhone 5 etc.
So lately I was using Sketchbook Ink and was doing a portrait of a woman wearing a jacket.
The jacket's colour on the ipad was BLUE
But when exported to my computer or uploaded to facebook, all the blue colours had turned purple.
And some of the other colours also seemed very dull when compared to viewing on the ipad screen
Has anybody else out there experienced the same issues?
If you could offer any advice or fix, I'd very much appreciate it.

Start by making sure you are charging it correctly. If are using the charger that came with it, be sure it is charging when you plug it in. If not, try a different iPad charger and cable. Be sure it is a 10w or 12w charger, not an iPod or iPhone charger. the iPad needs more power. You can also read about charging here:

I have this problem on my ipad 3. I was using ios 6.1.2 and surfing the net and watching a video on youtube. Everything was appearing (comments,suggestions etc.) except the video. The circle was revolving as usual but the grey meter wasn't even starting. Then after sometime it showed video unavailable. I was watching it on safari. Then i switched to the app and also to the chrome browser but still the same. I read it on the net to check for updates. I saw the update of 6.1.3 . I installed it but still nothing. I also read to restart the ipad. I did but in vain. I also reset my ipad but still nothing. The videos on youtube just don't play. Help me please.......

when i first synced my ipad to my pc the ipad only uploaded part of my music library,and won't upload anymore.I can't upload from windows media player because it doesn't see the ipad as a mass storage device .any ideas? I had an archos android before which was simple to sync with media player.

I update one iPad2 and the new iPad to iOS6 then ,when I go to AppStore I cannot find my Purchased ,i t loading a longtime and final show " cannot connect to iTune Store " and button to click "O.K." Then go blank screen and some time show "The request timed out". My internet wifi O.K. ( other function work well ,Feature ,Top Charts ,Search , Update only Purchased fail ) one iPad2 In iOS5 it OK no any problem.
Please advise me how I should do , I wait for up the one more iPad2 when this problem fix already ( it about 7.000 app in purchased list)

It looks like a virus, which I know it's impossible. The left side of my screen "touches" itself. Apps shut down, things open by themselves.
How do I sync together my 2 ipads? in order to have my candy crush both at the same level! 
On my ipad configured mail, When I am receiving an attached monthly bill pdf with password, I find that the attached file is not even visible when I am opening the mail. Hence, I am not able to see the attachment to open.

Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I hope this will make it a little bit clearer for you.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

What apple device are you using? The older the device the slower all apps will run. It could also be a variety of other issues such as: a slow Internet connection, the App Store is receiving a lot of incoming traffic, or you just need to reset the firmware. To reset the firmware, hold down the home and power/lock button at the same time until the screen shuts off. Wait a minute and then turn it back on. One other possible solution is to delete the app from multitasking. To do this, double tap the home button until a row of apps appears at the bottom of the screen. After finding the App Store app in that row (scrolling if necessary), tap and hold it until it shakes and a small red bubble with an x on it appears in the top left corner of the app. Press that x; it should disappear. Now press the home button (the apps should stop shaking) and press it again (the row of apps should disappear). If all of this doesn't work, restore your device or contact apple customer service. It is available in the USA -- I use it and have used it since it was introduced last year.
So there's probably some international handoff getting in the way. My guess is the iPad is not purchased from a store in the U.S., or it has been registered outside the U.S., or some similar thing.

Hello Demo, I'm sorry if I seemed a little curt with your very welcome, helpful response. I wasn't intending to be rude.
It obviously doesn't help that I'm a moron with Apple applications as I'm relatively new having come from many years of Windows platforms.
The problem seems to lie in my having TWO iCloud email addresses: ***@iCloud.com and ***@me.com. When I first joined iCloud through 'mobile me' some time ago, I was still using a Toshiba laptop but had purchased my first Apple product, an iPhone. This required me applying for an Apple account with an iCloud.com suffix but I have NEVER used either as an email address. I still use my old hotmail.com address. I'm now thinking that it's probably best to ditch this and my iCloud.com email address and transfer everything over to my me.com email address? Is this feasible and easy to do?

Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

Also make sure the HDMI cable is properly pluged into Apple TV and TV.
Make sure the TV resolution is not set too high.
